Counsel support

Start a pairing

One partner creates a pairing and shares the six-character code or invitation link. The other partner enters their own name and joins. Each of you gets a different private recovery link. Save yours before signing out or changing devices.

Say it kinder

In Together, write a message to your partner and choose Review. Counsel suggests kinder wording. You can edit the suggestion, return to your draft, or use your original words. Nothing in that preview is delivered until you choose Send.

When you ask the AI counselor in Together, your question may be reworded, and both partners can see the delivered question and reply. Private messages go directly to the AI counselor and are not shared with your partner.

Restore your access

On iPhone, find your recovery link in Settings. On the web, open Settings. To return on another device, open the saved link or choose Restore access on the opening screen and paste it into the recovery field.

A couple code invites the second partner; it cannot restore an existing seat. Your recovery link is the only credential for that seat. If you lose both your signed-in device and your recovery link, support cannot recreate that credential for you.

If a message does not send

Keep the tab or app open, check your connection, and retry. Your draft remains in the composer after a failed request. Repeating the same send uses the same request key to avoid delivering it twice. On the web, drafts are not saved after you close or reload the tab.

If your partner deleted their data, you cannot continue the shared conversation in that pairing. Your own Private journal remains available to read, and private AI replies require an active Counsel Plus subscription.

Counsel Plus

The pairing shares a free monthly allowance of delivered messages to a partner and shared counselor questions. Plus removes that monthly quota and enables private AI replies for both partners; daily fair-use limits still apply.

Purchases are available through the iPhone app when Apple offers the products. The price and period shown by Apple before purchase apply. Use Restore Purchases if you already subscribed. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple account's subscription settings. Deleting the app or a pairing does not cancel a subscription.

Private means separate from your partner

The Private journal is excluded from your partner's messages, shared memory, and shared AI context. Counsel does not use web search for AI responses. AI providers still process its text. Keep your recovery link safe: it grants access to that journal. Read the Privacy Policy for details.

When you need human help

Counsel is an AI communication tool. It is not therapy, a licensed professional, or a crisis service. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services. Do not wait for an AI reply.
